Picnic Cake (Edit)

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cup boiling water

  • 1 cup oatmeal

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 stick margarine

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1 3/4 cup flour

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 tbs cocoa

  • 1 package chocolate chips

  • nuts

Directions

  • Mix the water an oatmeal together and let sit for 10 minutes

  • Mix the sugars, margarine, and eggs

  • Combine oats and suger mixture

  • Mix in the rest of the dry ingredients and 1/2 bag of chocolate chips

  • Poor batter into a 9x12 pan

  • Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 bag of chocolate chips and nuts on top

  • Bake for 40 minutes at 350 °F
